David Bent design in CHIVA charity auction
British aviation artist, David Bent, has designed a chair as contribution to Bonhams' charity chair auction in aid of CHIVA Africa.
The design painted, ‘Lovehearts’ is based on a piece from his Red Arrows collection that features in a solo exhibition, ‘Fresh Air’, at London’s RAF Museum in 2012 and 2013.
Bent’s work has appeared in multiple exhibitions, including at the Royal International Air Tattoo, Farnborough International Airshow, the Dubai Airshow, and Al Ain Aerobatic Show in Abu Dhabi.
“When CHIVA Africa contacted me about their excellent work, I was pleased to offer my support for their innovative fund-raising initiative. I wish them well and hope that my Love Hearts Art Chair is very successful in helping to raise funds for the charity," said Bent.
CHIVA Africa sends volunteer doctors, nurses, psychologists, pharmacists and dietitians from South Africa and the UK to provide on-site mentoring, teaching, assessment and quality improvement support to health facilities across South Africa.
