Daallo Airlines aircraft lands after explosion
An explosion on a Daallo Airlines aircraft cause a hole in the side of the A321, leading to a passenger being sucked out of the aircraft.
Two other passengers were injured during the incident on Tuesday night, which caused the pilot to turn the aircraft around and land at Mogadishu International Airport.
A passenger on the aircraft, Hassan Mohamed Nur, said to the MailOnline: “I saw the passenger, a man in his early 60s, get sucked out of the plane. There was a huge bang. A big hole appeared in the side of the jet and the man disappeared through it. People were screaming. We all thought we were going to die.’
Investigations are underway to establish the cause of the explosion, and at current no groups have claimed responsibility for the incident.
