Crystal Cargo to add express service to Asia
Etihad Crystal Cargo will roll out its new 'express-to-door' delivery service to customers in Asia and the Middle East by the end of the year after its successful launch in North America and Europe in July.
InternationalFreight World reports that Xpress2D covers shipments from origin airport to factory gate, including all transport and customs clearance.
It says, the service also includes loading priority for shipments via Abu Dhabi, which Des Vertannes, executive VP of cargo at Etihad, said can be processed in 90 minutes and may be tendered anywhere in the network up to 120 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure.
“Our focus is on trade east to west,” he said. “We started in Europe and North America where our partners DPD, a subsidiary of Le Poste, have the delivery capacity on the ground. Once we’re able to deliver a similar service in Asia and the Middle East we’ll introduce Xpress2D there. This should be by the end of the year.”
