Colin Child appointed new non-executive chairman of Fastjet
Fastjet has announced Colin Child as non-executive chairman of the company, with effect from October.
Child has more than 20 years experience as a director of a multitude of companies, and as group finance director of De La Rue PLC up until July of this year.
Child also served as non-executive director at Rank Group PLC, where he was chairman of the Audit Committee and Nominations Committee, and senior independent director.
“I am delighted to be joining the fastjet Board. With a growing fleet and developing route network, this is an exciting time in the Company’s development and I look forward to working with Ed [Winter, chief executive officer of Fastjet] and the rest of the Board as the Company expands across Africa and pursues its strategic goals,” said Child about his new role.
Clive Carver, who has acted as interim non-executive chairman since April, will resume his role as non-executive director in October.
