Bahrain Airshow 2016: IATA presents ISSA to Middle East

IATA will be holding its seminar regarding its new safety program for smaller aircraft, the IATA Standard Safety Assessment, tomorrow at the show.

This will be the first time that IATA’s new audit program IATA Standard Safety Assessment (ISSA) has been presented in the Middle East.
The seminar will be lead by Jehad Faqir, IATA’s head of safety & flight operations, Middle East and North Africa.
ISSA will extend the benefits of operational safety and efficiency that emanated from the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme to the operators of smaller aircraft that are not eligible for the IOSA programme.
The programme offers entry into an IATA Assessment Registry to operators that utilise aircraft with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) below 5,700 kg.
