U.S. Passenger & Cargo Airlines Quarterly Financial Results, Q1 2019-Q2 2022

Record high revenues were confirmed recently for the second quarter (Q2) of 2022, surpassing 2019 quarterly reporting for both passenger and dedicated cargo carriers in the U.S. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics reporting shows operational revenue for U.S. passenger airlines hit its lowest point during Q2 2020, a period when COVID-19 became a global shock. Revenues have been on the increase since and totaled $58.4 billion in Q2 2022, surpassing the quarterly performance of any of 2019's quarters. Net income is still at a relatively low margin.
