Soviet-Era Tu-134 Regional Jet Ends Commercial Operations In Russia

The iconic Soviet-era Tupolev Tu-134 regional jet has finally ended commercial operations in Russia. The last Russian civil operator of this type, Kosmos—a subsidiary airline of the Russian space agency Roscosmos—reported it had made two final flights on its Tu-134AK from Moscow Vnukovo airport on Feb. 19.

ITA Adds Three Routes, Secures Argentina Permission

Alitalia successor ITA Airways plans to launch flights from Milan Linate (LIN) to three European destinations after signing a wet-lease agreement with German Airways. Beginning March 28, the Italian carrier intends to begin serving Geneva (GVA), London City (LCY) and Luxembourg (LUX) using two Embraer E190 jets.
