JetBlue Airways Slashes Schedule Plans Ahead Of Summer Season

JetBlue Airways is slashing its planned schedule for the summer and rest of the year, part of an effort to bolster the reliability of its operations amid chronic staffing constraints. Airbus-led Digital Alliance Lands SAS As Launch Customer

SAS Scandinavian Airlines will be the launch customer of a product developed by the Airbus-led Digital Alliance venture that targets predictive maintenance and other data-driven operational efficiency drivers, signing up for the partnership’s Skywise Predictive Maintenance Alliance (SPMA) offering. FAA Downgrades Russia’s Air Safety Rating

Russian carriers will not be allowed to add any new air services to the U.S., or codeshare with U.S. carriers, after the U.S. FAA downgraded Russia’s air safety rating to Category 2. The U.S. aviation safety regulator announced the decision on April 21, saying, “Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport [Rosaviatsiya] does not comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) safety standards.”

Air Astana Plans New Connections To UK, Turkey

Air Astana plans to begin offering new scheduled connections to the UK and Turkey in May using its fleet of Airbus A321 aircraft. Flights from Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty (ALA), to London Heathrow (LHR) will begin on May 12, operating via a stopover at Aktau (SCO) in western Kazakhstan.
