Amsterdam Airport Schiphol joins AviAssist Foundation board

The AviAssist Foundation has announced that Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, one of the busiest airports in Europe, is joining its board.

The airport’s partnership will help promote the growth of safety within African aviation.
“Schiphol is one of the best Africa-connected airports in the world, so the prospect of a stronger relationship is exciting for the Foundation. Schiphol’s experience and commitment to safety will be of great benefit to the Foundation and the African professionals we support,” said AviAssist director, Tom Kok.
The foundation runs programmes such as airport wildlife management courses, airport rescue and fire fighting, and airport leadership development.
“In aviation, safety comes first. So being able to share our Schiphol knowledge and work with colleagues in Africa in order to support African aviation safety, is something we look forward to. The Foundation is a great resource for Africa,” said Ron Louwerse, managing director, Rotterdam, The Hague Airport.
