Gallery: An exclusive look at Turkish Airlines' new lounges at Istanbul Airport

Turkish Airlines operates three lounges at the new Istanbul Airport in Turkey. One is a dedicated domestic lounge, a business lounge and a Miles&Smiles lounge. The latter two lounges are located in the international terminal.

Both international lounges—the Turkish Airlines business lounge and Miles&Smiles—are quite similar in terms of size and infrastructure. Here are state-of-the-art-lockers to store personal items.

The business and Miles&Smiles lounges together offer 1,530 seats located over 9,500 sq meters. The lounges opened April 6.

Both lounges offer 22 private suites, which are available to passengers transiting on long-haul flights and have a 4 to 9 hrs. wait. If the wait time is longer, the airline will offer a complimentary hotel room. There 13 showers available in every lounge.

Conference rooms can be booked in advance.

Every lounge offers six hot kitchen stations, as well as six cold meal stations. All food is freshly made. Turkish Do&Co is responsible for the high product offering.

A cinema offers comfortable seats (available in the Miles&Smiles lounge).

Chefs prepare Turkish specialities. A total of 450 employees work in the lounges.

A racetrack is available for those who wish to gamble.

A dedicated coffee station offers a wide range of cakes and sweets. There are a total of eight coffee stations in the lounges.

The two new Turkish Airlines lounges opened on April 6. Between 4,500 and 5,500 passengers per day visit the comfortable infrastructure.

The library, available in both lounges, offers a private atmosphere.
