The 2013 World Routes Conference programme promises to be engaging and content packed throughout the duration of the event. From the World Routes Strategy Summit, sponsored by Oman Airports Management company, to the World Tourism Summit, sponsored by Brand USA the World Routes Conference Programme is a multi-stream programme of events which will enable delegates to hear from aviation industry leaders from across the globe and providing the opportunity to engage and interact with speakers and topics alike.

Key themes that will be debated at the World Routes Strategy Summit, which takes place 6-7 October and is held in partnership with ICAO and The World Bank, include: the state of the industry and the outcomes from the ICAO Air Transport Conference; the implications for liberalisation; airline mega mergers and airports of the future.

Taking place 6-8 October, the World Tourism Summit, which is held in partnership with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) and TTG, will be a combination of keynote Speeches and panel discussions covering a range of topics including: how governments can align their tourism, economic development and aviation strategies; securing investment funds for tourism development; the changing dynamics of visitor economies and the links between aviation and cruising.

Many high level speakers have already confirmed their participation including Vitaly Saveliev, Chairman & CEO of Aeroflot Russian Airlines: Stephanie Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism for Haiti; Stephen Attenborough, Commercial Director, Virgin Galactic; Estuardo Ortiz, COO & Executive VP of Avianca Taca; Christopher Thompson, President & CEO of Brand USA and Lee McCabe, Head of Travel from Facebook who, along with delivering a keynote speech, will run a workshop for tourism authorities and CVBs on how to make the most of and enhance their presence on Facebook.
