World Routes 2013: Confirmed Airline Attendees

World Routes is the largest and most important commercial aviation networking forum of its kind with airports and airlines represented by delegates who are responsible for making decisions on both new and existing routes. This year the event, which will take place on 5-8 October 2013 co-hosted by Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, is expected to attract over 3,000 delegates from the global aviation industry and, to date, 420 airline delegates representing 257 carriers from across the world have registered to attend.

Global Audience

The World’s leading carriers will attend the 19th World Route Development Forum. European full service carriers are bringing particularly large delegations with Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France and KLM accommodating more meetings than ever before. A breakdown of some of the headline names from each market can be found below.

Asia is represented by its largest airlines notably China Southern, China Eastern, Air China, Japan Airlines, AirAsia Group and All Nippon Airways.

Representing the African market notably are South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Egyptair and Kenya Airways whilst the Latin American market is represented primarily by LATAM, Avianca, Copa and Aeromexico, whilst the Middle East market is represented by Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian amongst others, making its inaugural appearance at World Routes in a meeting capacity.

Domestic

As expected the U.S. domestic market is well represented and Frontier Airlines, who registered most recently, join United Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines (the world’s largest Low Cost Carrier), Spirit Airlines, Allegiant Air, Alaska Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Virgin America and Hawaiian Airlines meaning that that all major US carriers have confirmed their attendance.

In addition the largest regional carrier in the US, with a fleet of over 300 regional aircraft (Skywest Airlines), also registered in the last few days and will make its inaugural appearance at a Routes event. Senior Delegations

Many of the carriers attending World Routes in Las Vegas will be represented by senior personnel from their organisation and indications show that the seniority of airline delegates attending this year’s event will be higher than ever.
