WORLD ROUTES 2011: Reduced Rates & Charges at Toronto Pearson for 2012

Since 2008, Toronto Pearson International Airport has introduced double digit percentage decreases to its airline rates and charges and has revealed that it will continue this downward trend.

It has confirmed that its rates and charges for 2012 have recently been approved, and for a fifth consecutive year, we see the airport passing savings on to its airline partners. Adjustments have been made to all elements of its aeronautical fees, resulting in an average decrease of 2.5 per cent, while cargo landing fees will also be reduced by 6.9 per cent effective January 1, 2012.

Toronto Pearson is committed to making pricing more competitive to encourage growth and support our global hub strategy,” the airport confirmed to The HUB yesterday. “Net airline fees at Toronto Pearson have decreased or held steady since January 2008. In addition, we continue to seek methods to delay capital investment programs, ensuring that we make the most efficient use of existing facilities.”
