Wizz applies for Copenhagen slots
Budget carrier, Wizz Air has applied for slots to serve Copenhagen to four destinations. From October 31st the carrier will seek to serve three Polish destinations, Warsaw, Gdansk and Katowice as well as the Czech capital, Prague.
Wizz will seek to be located in the Swift terminal which has led to a marked increase in LCC traffic in Copenhagen.
In terms of weekly flights operated SAS has a 41% of the market, followed by Cimber Sterling (14%), followed by Norwegian (9%) and easyJet (2%). Transavia, the Dutch based LCC also has a base in Copenhagen, and Ryanair is also seeking to operate services from CPH.
