Airlines and airports are increasingly relying on advanced analytics to navigate rising market complexity, but resource constraints and the intensive time required for evaluation have accelerated demand for more specialized, streamlined solutions.

Alpcor Aviation says it has identified a need for clearer and more reliable data insights to help stakeholders assess viable long-term route opportunities. To address these issues, the Switzerland-based firm has introduced RouteScore, a platform designed to simplify analysis and support more informed route development decisions across the industry.

RouteScore incorporates more than 20 different data sets to create what the company describes as a “360-degree view” of potential route performance, allowing airports and airlines to evaluate and prioritize destination opportunities.

“RouteScore helps airports look at a wide range of potential destinations and then, based on data, narrow that down to a focused shortlist,” explains Garth Lund, Founder and Managing Director of Alpcor Aviation, speaking at Routes World 2025 in Hong Kong.

The consultancy firm emphasized that while focus maintains on network growth, identifying the strongest potential new route opportunities and eliminating uncertainty is essential for driving successful network expansion.
