Vision Airlines Revises Winter Network
Vision Airlines has revealed its new Northern Winter schedule and will make immediate changes to its network to support variations in autumn and winter demand. The carrier confirms that new flights will be introduced from Louisville to Punta Gorda/Ft Myers and Orlando/Sanford; Little Rock to Orlando/Sanford, and St Louis to Punta Gorda/Ft Myers but will discontinue service in Lafayette, Shreveport, Chattanooga, Asheville, and Knoxville with the first changes being adopted as early as August 19.
“The fall and winter schedules shift as consumers typically flock to Southern Florida destinations or to international hot spots like Grand Bahama Island,” said David Meers, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Vision Airlines. “Based upon travel trends, we have decided to make these changes sooner than anticipated and focus on markets where demand for travel will be stronger.”
Vision Airlines will retain the majority of its current links into the Destin/Ft Walton Beach area but confirmed that its flight from Little Rock will close from November 2. "We expect to have a robust schedule of flights to Northwest Florida Regional Airport resume again on April 1, 2012,” added David Meers.
