Virgin replaces Mumbai service with Jet codeshare
Virgin Atlantic Airways is replacing its London Heathrow-Mumbai service with a codeshare agreement with Indian operator Jet Airways, to be introduced tomorrow.
It follows Virgin's suspension of its own service on the route which, it says, has become unprofitable as a result of overcapacity.
Virgin will instead place its 'VS' designator code on the twice-daily Jet Airways operation between Heathrow and Mumbai. Virgin still serves daily the Heathrow-Delhi route.
