US Airways to ink codeshare with Eva Air
Phoenix based US Airways will codeshare with Taiwan based carrier Eva Air in an agreement that was put into place by America West before it merged with then based Philadelphia US Airways.
Eva Air currently operates non stop long haul service from Taipei to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle, and the agreement will allow its passengers to connect on to a raft of domestic destinations from US Airways west coast bases, all able to be sold on the same ticket.
In return, US Airways, which has suffered a blow in its proposed long haul strategy with the cancellation of its proposed PHL-PEK service will be to sell Taipei to its passengers through the same reservation and bookable on one ticket through GDS allocation.
