US Airways cancels domestic routes

US Airways has announced that it will discontinue three scheduled services from its west coast hub of Phoenix. The Star Alliance carrier will stop flying the following markets;

• Phoenix-Colorado Springs (from Jan 3rd)
• Phoenix-Raleigh Durham (from Feb 10)
• Phoenix- Washington Dulles (from Feb 10)

US currently operates 27 weekly flights with CRJ's and is the only carrier operating this route.

From Phoenix to Raleigh, US operates 4x weekly, however LCC Southwest Airlines operates 7x weekly services on the route.

Between PHX and Dulles, US operates 4, however Star Alliance partner United Airlines operates the route on a 7x weekly basis.
