United Outlines Initial Boeing 787 Operations
UNITED has outlined planned Boeing 787 aircraft’s initial Domestic and International operations.
The Star Alliance member is due to receive First Boeing 787 this fall, and to enter operation from late-October 2012 on domestic routes. First International Boeing 787 route is slated for December 2012.
Domestic Routes
- late-October 2012: Between Houston and UA hubs
- Feb 2013: Houston – Los Angeles
- Apr 2013: Houston – Denver
International Routes
- Houston – Amsterdam 04DEC12 – 29MAR13 Daily
- Los Angeles – Tokyo Narita eff 03JAN13 Daily (to be served by pm-UA crew)
- Houston – Lagos eff 07JAN13 5 weekly
- Houston – London Heathrow 04FEB13 – 29MAR13 Daily (UA001/002, additional flight)
- Los Angeles – Shanghai Pu Dong eff 30MAR13 Daily
- Denver – Tokyo Narita eff 31MAR13 Daily (Previously reported)
United is expecting 4 Boeing 787s by Dec 2012, 5 in Feb 2013, 6 in Mar 2013.

Note planned operational routes and effective dates are subject to pending Boeing 787 delivery, therefore further changes are possible.
