Preparing for your Meetings
Now is also the time to start preparing for those all important meetings that will take place in Marseille and your draft diary, which you can now access online, should help with those preparations. Once you have accessed the meeting requests site you will be given the option to view your draft diary using the button provided at the top of the page.
Whether your meetings are with airlines, airports or tourism authorities it’s important to be as prepared as you can be for the time you have available. Providing a short presentation or report covering all key points is recommended and you should also be well informed about the company you’re meeting with and aware of any opportunities that exist there so make sure you’ve done your research.
The meeting requests system also provides delegates with the perfect platform to prepare for their meetings at Routes Europe as, during the requesting process, access to Routesonline company profiles is available helping delegates select the right companies to meet with by providing all the information Routesonline has to offer straight to the central meeting requests page.
Company profiles on Routesonline can provide you with a wealth of information about the company you’re meeting with. Make sure your own company profile is kept up to date and start connecting with other delegates on Routesonline in the weeks leading up to the event. Initiate new, or continue existing dialogue with prospective customers ahead those all important meetings, whether pre-arranged or not, which will take place in Marseille.
Connect now and start networking!

Additional features of the Routes App include an event floorplan, Strategy Summit speaker profiles, activity feed, your own personal profile, airline table numbers, social media links, and the opportunity to earn rewards and badges whilst competing on the app leader board.
Further details about the Routes App and how to download it will be sent to all delegates prior to the event.
Hotel & Flight Information
If you have not yet secured your flights and hotel reservation, you should do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This year’s event will be held at the Palais du Pharo, originally an imperial residence built by Prince-President Louis-Napoleon in 1852, which today is a prestigious architectural complex, one of the finest in Europe.
There are many hotels to choose from in Marseille but, during Routes Europe, we recommend staying in one of our preferred hotels where Routes Europe delegates will benefit from preferential rates. All hotels are located within a 10 minute drive of the event venue and it is recommended you book early to avoid disappointment.

We are also delighted to announce Air France and KLM as the event official carriers. Both airlines are pleased to be able to extend a special offer to all Routes Europe delegates travelling to Marseille of up to a 15% discounted rate.
In order to book flights, which can be done online or over the telephone, delegates will require the Event ID which is recognised by every Air France and KLM sales office and call centre worldwide, and by some dedicated agencies as well.
If you have already booked your flight and hotel accommodation for Routes Europe please ensure the details are forwarded to Sarah Moon to help facilitate event transfers.
Visa Requirements
Make sure you have all the necessary documentation to travel to France. Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months beyond the period of stay, however, most nationalities do not require visas for social or business visits within a certain period. Further information regarding which countries will require a visa to enter France can be found here.
In addition to the visa application form, relevant fees and photos, embassies may also require a letter of invitation from the inviting company. Delegates requiring such a document from our host, Marseille-Provence Airport, should complete the electronic request form in full ensuring accuracy throughout.
Click here for further information on how to begin your visa application process and to request your invitation letter. Most embassies and consulates accept a scanned copy of the invitation letter and therefore our host will issue the letters to applicants via email as an attachment.
We’ll see you in Marseille for Routes Europe 2014!
