Tiger starts flights from Avalon
Tiger Airways has announced that it will commence new services from Melbourne secondary airport Avalon, with new routes to Adelaide and Perth.
Currently, low cost competitor Jetstar operates two services to Brisbane and Sydney and is the only scheduled carrier.
Tiger currently operates from Melbourne to Adelaide and Perth which a four daily and daily service respectively.
From Melbourne, Adelaide has seen over 1.6 million pax fly between March 09-10 according to IATA BSP data (Airport IS) , with Perth over 1.2 million pax have flown the route in the same time period.
