Taiwan slottery results for Taipei Sung Shan – Shanghai Hongqiao servic

Taiwan's CAA on Monday (24MAY10) has announced the results of slots distribution for 14 weekly Taipei Sung Shan - Shanghai Hongqiao service. Results are:

China Airlines 6 weekly
EVA Air 6 weekly
Transasia Airways 2 weekly

Taipei Sung Shan Airport (TSA) currently only allows maximum 200-seater aircraft such as Boeing 757 operating. As a result, both China Airlines and EVA Air will be leasing 737-800 and MD90 respectively from subsidiary Mandarin Airlines and UNI Air. Transasia Airways' largest aircraft is 186-seater Airbus A321. Once the airport upgrade project completes, the former 2 will be operating Airbus A330 aircraft.

In addition, existing Taipei Sung Shan - Shanghai Pu Dong service will be moved to Taipei Taoyuan (TPE). However, due to Transasia Airways receiving 2 weekly frequencies to Hongqiao, it is being granted rights to keep TSA - Shanghai Pu Dong, but will reduce from 5 to 3 weekly. The reduction of 2 weekly flights will be transferred to Taichung - Shanghai Pu Dong (increasing from 1 to 3 weekly), which is mandatory.
