SVO attracts new carrier from Africa

Moscow's second largest airport in terms of seat capacity, Moscow Sheremetyevo will have a new scheduled service from Casablanca from November 2nd. The national carrier of Morocco, Royal Air Maroc has announced that it will launch 2x weekly services to be operated with B737-700 aircraft.

It will be the only scheduled service between Casablanca and Moscow and also the only scheduled non-stop flight between Morocco and Russia.

IATA BSP data shows limited traffic flows between Russia and Morocco, however RAM will be looking to capture transit traffic from its network of routes in Africa which comprises of over 400 weekly flights to 37 destinations in the African continent.
