Strategic Airlines to launch Denpasar

Stategic Airlines will launch new non-stop service from Perth to the Indonesian market of Bali. The route will be operated on a 3x weekly basis from June 12th and will compete head to head with the following carriers.

• Virgin Blue- 7x weekly
• Garuda Indonesia- 21x weekly
• Jetstar Airways- 7x weekly
• Indonesia AirAsia- 14x weekly

The route is a trunk leisure route and over 450,000 O+D passengers flew the sector between Feb 09-10 with Garuda fending off low cost competition with a 45% market share.
