Routes Talks will host the first ever Start-up Airline Presentation Session, which will take place at 0900 on Tuesday, 21st September, in the Routes Talks Seminar Theatre. The session will be led by Shaun Monnery of Astraeus Airlines, who will be discussing the pitfalls of starting an airline and how to successfully deliver your business plan.
Monnery will be followed by representatives from the national airline of the Congo, Onetime Airlines, which is seeking to rebuild its network, with flights to Africa and Europe on the wish list. Two more start- up presentations will follow, with much publicised start-up airline Feel Air outlining its strategy to provide new long-haul and low-cost services both westbound and eastbound from Scandinavia. The final carrier to undertake a presentation in this hour-long session is Goldfields Ghanaian Airways which is hoping to link markets in North America and Europe to Accra. A lively debate is expected, and the audience will be able to ask questions after each of the presentations.
The list of start-up airlines continues to build, but currently includes;
- Dalmatian Airlines - proposed low-cost carrier based in Croatia
- Eagle Wings Airlines - a US-based regional operator
- Eurojet - a new European regional operator seeking to serve JFK and BKK
- Feel Air - a Norwegian-based long-haul operator
- Goldfield Ghanaian Airways - an Accra-based long-haul operator
- Jetvision - a Christchurch-based entity seeking routes on the West Coast of the US
- OneTime Airlines - the new national carrier of the Congo, replacing the defunct LAC Air Congo
- Sahil Airlines - a new regional operator based in Denmark
- Wolf Global Air - a new UK-based regional proposed operator
All of the carriers above will be available to take meetings in the start-up airline zone in the meeting halls as well as in the Start-up Airline Presentation Session.
The Start-up Airline Presentation Session is the perfect place for suppliers, manufacturers and airports to meet start-up carriers, and Routes encourages all these groups to attend. The session is open to all delegates and will take place in the 'Routes Talks' Seminar Theatre on Tuesday, 21st September, at 0900. The theatre seats 50 people, so to secure your place, ask scheduling to include the session in your dairy. Contact Victoria Jones via email: [email protected], and she will endeavour to add it to your diary.
