Star carrier adds second FCO route

Star Alliance carrier United Airlines has announced a new seasonal service from its base in Chicago (ORD) to Rome (FCO). The carrier will run a B767-300 aircraft on the route from May to August, going head to with Alitalia which operates a 5x weekly B767-400 with one day being operated with a A330-200.

United currently also serves Rome from its base at Washington Dulles (IAD) with a daily B767-300 aircraft.
