Star Alliance carrier to operate new Hawaii services.

Continental Airlines has unveiled plans to offer additional service to the markets of Maui and Honolulu from its west coast bases. It will operate a new 1x daily Los Angeles (LAX) Maui service. A second daily LAX Honolulu (HNL) service and a new 4x weekly Orange County (SNA)- HNL service.

The LAX-OGG market is currently served by AA.UA and DL all with minimum daily offerings.

LAX-HNL is already a thick market with UA, DL, CO,AA and HA operating multiple frequencies.

The new service between SNA and HNL is currently not served.

These three new routes will commence in MArch 2010.
