SAS seeks controlling stake in Estonian
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has said it wants to take a controlling stake in Estonian Air by buying the Estonian government's 34% stake.
SAS, which owns a 49% stake in the airline, has approached the Estonia’s Prime Minister Andrus Ansip to buy its estimated US$16.5 million worth of shares and he has responded positively.
"We are ready to divest state-owned shares. Everything depends on the prices," he told reporters.
