Ryanair to open El Prat base

Ryanair has annouced that it will launch a new base from Barcelona El Prat Airport in Septermber wih twenty new destinations, linking bases from across Europe with daily services to Brussels Charleroi, Dublin, Milan Bergamo, Paris Beauvais and Rome Ciampino, and also flights to Cagliari, Dusseldorf Weeze, Edinburgh, Oslo Rygge and Venice Treviso.

It will also add domestic routes to Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Malaga, Palma, Santander, Santiago, Seville, Tenerife and Valencia.

The largest carrier in Barcelona is currenty Spanish LCC Vueling, followed by Spanair. easyjet is the fourth largest behind Iberia.
