Routes Talks Programme Takes Shape

This year’s Routes Talks programme will be extensive as sessions are filling up fast with what promises to provide excellent and engaging content for World Routes delegates.

The Routes Talks Seminar Theatres, located in the Networking Village and open to all delegates, are a unique space for briefings, presentations and discussions and this year there will be three theatres each with its own individual theme; Tourism, Commercial Suppliers and Social Media.

The Routes Talks Tourism Theatre will return this year to play host to a series of Ministerial Destination Briefings and presentations from major tourism destinations or travel organisations. This programme already includes a session given by the world’s largest travel website, TripAdvisor, which holds significant data on every destination in the world. Amongst the other sessions confirmed so far in this theatre will be a panel discussion entitled; New World - New Connectivity. This session will bring members of the International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) together to explore the surge in the BRICS markets and the global megahubs in the Gulf as well as the opportunities this presents. The effect on tourism and aviation marketing and promotion will also be discussed and participants can expect to engage in an interactive exchange. Other Sessions will feature briefings given by Nassau, Philippines Tourism, PATA, Turismo De Tenerife and Texas Tourism.

The impact social media is having on how air routes will perform will be addressed in the Social Media & Online Marketing Theatre and will allow attending delegates to gain an insight into how airlines and airports are winning, keeping and marketing such routes.

So far confirmed speakers include SimpliFlying, solterbeck.net Donovan Creative and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with topics ranging from; Social Media and Mobile Strategies to Web Content & Design and Web Analytics. This is a great opportunity to invite team members who may not usually come to World Routes and special rates are available for those wishing to bring new delegates to the event to participate in this programme.

The Routes Talks Industry Suppliers Theatre will give attendees the chance to discover the latest insights into data and technologies, learn from consultants such as ASM and data providers like OAG the best techniques to give your organisation a competitive edge and hear from the likes of EUACA, Gates and Partners LLP and Hermes GPE as to their future developments.
