Routes Asia is the only network planning forum for the Asia region and the 11thRoutes Asia event will take place in Mumbai on 17-19 March 2013 and with just over one month to go until the event opens there are already 80 carriers registered to attend, just two shy of last year’s total.
Network Planners and other key decision makers from a wide range of carriers will descend on the commercial capital of India to discuss the future of air service development for the entire Asia region. The event, which is the largest of its kind in the region and will be hosted by Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), has seen year on year growth and 180 airline delegates are expected to attend in 2013.
This year’s event will see several first time attendees including out of region carriers such as Air Astana, American Airlines, Arik Air, Kenya Airways, LOT Polish, Nordwind Airlines and South African Airways which outlines the importance of this key market.
Major carriers already registered include Qantas, Malaysia Airlines, Air China, British Airways, Etihad, Philippine Airlines, Hainan Airlines and many more. The Low Cost sector will also be well represented with attendance from Jetstar Airways, Cebu Pacific Air, LionAir, The AirAsia Group and Tiger Airways. Other carriers who have signed up for the Indian event recently include Firefly, Spring Airlines and Royal Brunei Airlines.

Registrations from Airports and Tourism Authorities are also flooding in with recent confirmations of attendance received from Airports of Thailand, Beijing Capital International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. From further afield registrations received over the last week include Liege Airport, Keolis Airports and Rome FCO Airport.
