Routes Africa will take place on 7-9 July 2013 in Kampala, Uganda and scheduling for the event opened earlier this week.
The event, which is the annual gathering of air service decision makers for the entire African region, will bring together more than 250 delegates from airports, airlines, tourism authorities and other industry stakeholders from across Africa to discuss air service development. Routes Africa attracts key decision makers from a wide variety of airlines represented by senior key decision makers that are responsible for making decisions on both new and existing routes. Along with the top five African carriers by Available Seat Kilometres (ASK); South African Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Royal Air Maroc and Egyptair, airlines who have already confirmed their attendance at Routes Africa 2013 include Etihad Airways, Nasair, United Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Rwandair. The complete list of registered airlines can be found here.
Routes Africa delegates can now log into their Routesonline profile and use the new and improved online Meeting Requests System, which made its debut last year when it was used for World Routes in Abu Dhabi, to make meeting requests with other attendees. The new and improved website allows airports, airlines, tourism authority delegates and anyone else with an entitlement of pre-arranged meetings to log-in and submit their requests online. The system also provides delegates with the perfect platform to request and prepare for their meetings at Routes Africa as, during the requesting process, access to Routesonline company profiles is available helping delegates select the right companies to meet with by providing all the information Routesonline has to offer straight to the central meeting requests page.
One of the major improvements on the site is the provision for delegates to view their draft diaries online. Closer to the event a completely live and updated version of your draft diary will be available to view online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the personal requests page. This should allow delegates to better prepare for the meetings they expect to take place in Kampala and increase the overall Routes experience.
