The Port of Seattle welcomes Philippine Airlines’ announcement of upcoming nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila, Philippines. Starting in October, SEA passengers will have three flight options per week to travel directly to the archipelagic nation.
Back to Beijing: Hainan Airlines resumes direct service to China
Former airline partner Hainan Airlines expands the number of direct flights to Beijing (PEK) from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) by resuming service on April 2, 2024. SEA was the first U.S. airport Hainan Airlines chose to serve back in 2008, operating flights until 2019. Now they’re back and ready to take travelers to China’s bustling capital city.
Around one third of the airport’s 30+ existing X-ray scanners have already been replaced by new cutting edge C3 scanners, with the airport on track to have replaced all scanners in both of its terminals by October 2025, ahead of the regulatory deadline of 31 December 2025.
