Riga welcomes Belavia
Today Riga International Airport welcomed Belavia's inaugural flight from Minsk.
airBaltic already serves Riga and Minsk, while a codeshare agreement between the two carriers will enable ten-weekly flights to operate between them. Belavia will serve the route three-times weekly (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays) using a CRJ-type aircraft.
Krišjānis Peters, Chairman of the Board of RIGA International Airport, said: "A significant precondition for this was our new tariff policy that is one of the most attractive and competitive among the airports of the European capital cities. I am convinced that our cooperation will be productive and in the future will result in an increasing number of flights to Belarus.”
From Minsk Belavia serves 27 destinations in Europe, Russia and the CIS.
