Durban played host to around 2,500 delegates from last weekend as World Routes made its first appearance on the African continent. To those of you that attended, thank you! Discussions with delegates highlighted some high-level talks between airlines and airports at this year’s event with one airport noting that its formal meetings were "among the most productive" it had ever had at a World Routes event.
Alongside the formal meeting agenda, the World Routes Strategy Summit provided an insight on a wide range of topics with some big-name speakers, including South African Minister of Tourism, Derek Hanekom; Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World and Nico Bezuidenhout, CEO, Mango and former acting CEO, South African Airways.
