Oman Air Expands Operations in Winter

As per 01AUG12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Oman Air is expanding operation on a number of routes during Winter 2012/13 season, effective 28OCT12. Expanded service covers Jordan, Lebanon, Thailand, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Details:

  • Muscat – Amman Service increases from 4 weekly to daily, and will operate as nonstop service in both direction (currently service operates in conjunction with Beirut)
  • Muscat – Bangkok Service increases from 13 weekly in W11 to 14 weekly
  • Muscat – Beirut Service maintains 4 weekly, however service will operate as nonstop in both direction (currently service operates in conjunction with Amman)
  • Muscat – Dammam Service increases from 1 daily to 10 weekly
  • Muscat – Dubai Service increases from 44 to 48 weekly
  • Muscat – Jeddah Service increases from 10 to 14 weekly
  • Muscat – Kuwait Service increases from 10 to 13 weekly
  • Muscat – Riyadh Service increases from 1 to 2 daily

Previously reported changes:

  • Muscat – Colombo Service maintains at 7 weekly. 2 of 7 weekly operates with Airbus A330-300 instead of Boeing 737
  • Muscat – Male Introduction of 5th weekly terminator service. 4 of 5 weekly flights operated by Boeing 737-700 instead of -800
