New Panama service for TAME

The national airline of Ecuador, TAME, has announced that it will inaugurate scheduled service from its Quito base to Panama City. The route will be operated thrice-weekly with a mix of regional and mainline equipment. IATA BSP data shows that over 61,000 O+D passengers have flown between the city pairs between July 2009 and July 2010. The route will commence December 1^st, and on the same day TAME will also serve Panama City from Guayaquil, a route currently served twice-daily by Copa Airlines.
