Myanmar Airways International Plans Winter Expansion

Myanmar Airways International from 28OCT12 plans to increase service on selected routes, as well as launching new services, as it prepares to embark on robust growth in the coming Winter.

Planned Winter 2012/13 operation as follows:

Yangon – Kuala Lumpur Service increases from 5 weekly to daily
8M501 RGN0930 – 1330KUL 320 D
8M502 KUL1430 – 1530RGN 320 D

Yangon – Singapore 01NOV12 – 31DEC12 Service increases from 10 to 12 weekly
8M231 RGN0830 – 1300SIN 320 D
8M233 RGN1345 – 1815SIN 320 x13

8M232 SIN1410 – 1540RGN 320 D
8M234 SIN1915 – 2045RGN 320 x13

From 01JAN13, service returns to 10 weekly, but 8M233/234 will operate on Day 567

MAI continues to offer Yangon – Bangkok 2 daily service; Bangkok – Singapore 1 daily; Yangon – Gaya 4 weekly.

The airline is cancelling service to Cambodia (Phnom Penh & Siem Reap) from 19SEP12.

Yangon – Guangzhou Service increases from 2 to 3 weekly

The airline is currently planning following new routes or frequency expansions:
Yangon – Gaya Increase from 4 weekly to daily
Yangon – Mandalay – Bangkok NEW 4 weekly
Yangon – Mandalay – Gaya NEW 3 weekly
Yangon – Hong Kong 3 weekly
