Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) recorded almost 1.3 million passengers in 2024, marking a 30% year-over-year increase, making it Germany’s fastest-growing airport.
Located in the northwest of the country, the airport serves a core catchment area of 3.4 million people and has access to a potential 11.1 million within a 90-minute drive, covering also the east of the Netherlands.
Attracting a diversified mix of 13 airline partners, the airport serves 12 destinations across eight countries.
The airport’s growth has been driven by successful airline partnerships and new route launches. 2025 will see further new airlines starting and new routes being launched at FMO. In Summer 2025 Ryanair will launch a four-times-weekly service to London Stansted and twice-weekly flights to Málaga.
Corendon Airlines will launch a weekly service to Izmir in July. Nesma Airlines, Red Sea Airlines and Aegean Airlines will be new airlines to operate to Hurghada respectively Heraklion in summer 2025.
