Meet The Winners: Jet2.com
Jet2.com was named Airline Winner at the Routes Europe 2026 Awards for the third consecutive year, recognising a period of exceptional network growth, industry-leading partnerships and continued investment in customer experience across the UK and Europe.
The award reflects the airline’s ambitious but responsible expansion strategy, which has seen Jet2.com strengthen its position as the UK’s third-largest airline operator while significantly increasing accessibility to its network through new bases, new destinations and expanded regional connectivity.
Since 2024, Jet2.com has launched more than 225 new routes, introduced 13 new destinations and opened four new operating bases. The addition of bases at Liverpool, Bournemouth, London Luton and London Gatwick has transformed the airline’s reach, ensuring that more than 90% of the UK population can access the group’s services within a 90-minute drive.
Jet2.com’s 2026 programme features more than 75 destinations and has seen the launch of new services to Palermo, La Palma and Samos, broadening leisure travel opportunities for customers.
From February 2027, Jet2.com will further strengthen its presence by operating year-round services to Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, making the Egyptian resorts accessible from six UK airports throughout the year.
Summer 27 will also see Jet2.com launch services to Tunisia from five airports, with flights operating to Enfidha–Hammamet International Airport from May 2027.
Next summer will also bring new connectivity to Kavala International Airport from Birmingham, Manchester and London Stansted, while the airline’s winter programme includes the launch of services to Strasbourg from Edinburgh, Manchester and London Stansted.
Jet2.com told Routes that it continues to look ahead with real confidence, thanks to its commitment to delivering award-winning customer service whilst putting partnerships at the heart of its strategy. “We’re excited about what we can continue to achieve together,” said Ricard Querol, General Manager – Airports and Tourism Organisations. “We have ambitious plans for growth, which we know none of it is possible without the strong foundations we’ve built with our partners.”
The airline works closely with partners to identify new opportunities, support route development and maximise the performance of existing services through coordinated marketing campaigns and regular engagement. “Our success is only possible because of the outstanding collaboration we have with our airport teams and tourism partners,” said Tom Screen, Director of Airport Relationships. “The work they do behind the scenes, from operational coordination to commercial planning and destination promotion makes a real difference.”
Nick Louden, General Manager – Airports and Tourism Organisations, added: “We cherish this award as it is voted for by our partners. Everyone at Jet2 is committed to continuing to grow together, investing in our shared success and strengthening the relationships that underpin everything we achieve together with our amazing partners.”
Jacob Bramley, General Manager – Airports and Tourism Organisations, said: “We want to recognise the dedicated and professionalism of our valued partners across Europe. Your support helps us continue to deliver our industry-leading service to millions of customers.”
Alongside network expansion, sustainability remains a core pillar of the airline’s long-term strategy. Having committed to net zero carbon emissions by 2050, Jet2.com continues to invest in a more sustainable fleet, reducing fuel and carbon usage by up to 20% and lowering noise levels by 50%.
Through its integrated model alongside in-house tour operator, Jet2holidays, the airline maintains close control over the customer journey, allowing commercial, operational and service standards to be aligned across the business.
This focus has helped Jet2.com earn numerous industry accolades over the past year, including recognition from Which?, the TTG Travel Industry Awards, Travel Weekly Globe Awards, News UK Travel Awards, FEEFO, and the UK Institute of Customer Service.
Reflecting on the Routes Europe recognition, David Neill, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this award for the third year in a row. Every year brings new challenges and opportunities, and your continued support plays a huge role in helping us deliver the fantastic service that our customers have come to expect and enjoy.”
