The Latest News Ahead of World Routes in Abu Dhabi

There are now 555 airline delegates registered for the 18thWorld Route Development Forum and, with three weeks to go until the event opens, this number already surpasses last year’s total of 500.

The seniority of airline delegates registered for World Routes in Abu Dhabi is higher than any other previous event and the registration of Robbie Corbie, CEO of Caribbean Airlines earlier this week brings the total of airline CEOs who will be in attendance to 40.

Other Airline CEOs who have confirmed their attendance at the event include those from Air Seychelles, Air Arabia, Vueling, Jet2.com, Kenya Airways, Estonian Air and Etihad Airways. The total number of C-level delegates registered for World Routes in Abu Dhabi is 60 and if other senior delegates such as Vice Presidents and Commercial Directors are included the total rises to almost 200.

The latest airlines to register for the event are FlyBe, Air Jamaica, Tunisair and, as previously mentioned, Caribbean Airlines. This week has also seen the addition of two new Route Exchange Briefings as LionAir and SAS Scandinavian Airlines have both confirmed that they will deliver a briefing. This new user friendly format sees the addition of a filter which allows users to sort attendees by organisation type and region as well as the order in which they are displayed. Route Exchange members are easily identifiable on the new look attendee list enabling users to click to view their profiles and finally further information about an attendee can be found by hovering over the ‘i’ icon where available.

Over 900 airport delegates representing over 400 airports from around the world have also registered to attend the event to date. During the past 7 days new registrations have been received from a number of airports and tourism authorities including King Fahd International Airport, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, Parma Milan Airport, Chelyabinsk Airport, Juan Santamaria International Airport, Seychelles CAA, Cardiff Airport, The Welsh Government, Tobago House of Assembly and ONDA.
