Korean Air Resumes Saudi Arabia Service from Nov 2012
Korean Air starting 09NOV12 resumes operation to Saudi Arabia after 14 years of service suspension. The Skyteam member will launch 3 weekly Seoul Incheon – Riyadh – Jeddah service on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

KE on 10SEP12 has initially loaded KE961 ICN JED sector. On the morning of 11SEP12 (GMT +9), reservation for ICN RUH JED sector is open in both direction. KE does not have local traffic rights on RUH JED sector.
The Skyteam member launched Saudi Arabia service in 1970s. In Summer 1981 schedule (July/August 1981), it operated 3 weekly 747SP Seoul – Dhahran – Jeddah, 1 weekly 747 Seoul – Bangkok – Dhahran – Jeddah, 2 weekly 747 Seoul – Manila – Bahrain – Jeddah – Zurich and 1 weekly 707/DC10 Seoul – Colombo – Dhahran service. The airline ended service to Dhahran (Dammam) on 01AUG88; Jeddah on 05APR98. Service to Riyadh launched on 01FEB86 and ended on 31MAR90.
