KLM adds 5th China route

KLM has also revealed plans to add new non-stop service to Xiamen in China, which will be its fifth destination in China. The route will start March 27^th and will be operated thrice-weekly with widebody B777 equipment. It will be the only non-stop service from Europe to Xiamen, with over 33,000 O+D passengers having flown between Xiamen and Europe between September 2009 and 2010. Air China currently has a 39% share of this traffic, largely via Beijing, with Cathay Pacific having a 35% via Singapore.
