Kingfisher to launch new Hong Kong sector

Kingfisher Airlines will launch new non-stop scheduled service from Delhi to Hong Kong. The new route will start on April 7th and will be operated on a 6x weekly rotation with A330 aircraft. Kingfisher will face competition on the sector from the following carriers;

• Air India - 7x weekly A310
• Cathay Pacific - 7x weekly A340-300
• Jet Airways - 7x weekly A330-200

BSP data (Airport IS) shows that 183,665 passengers have flown the route in the previous 12 months, the majority on direct services, however significant indirect traffic with Thai Airways also accounting for passengers via BKK.
