Japan and Singapore Agree Open Skies Deal
The Governments of Japan and Singapore have agreed to fully lift air service restrictions between the two countries. Through the agreement airlines from either country will have the right to offer unlimited services between them as well as to provide onward flights from Japan, subject to approval from the destination country. A previous frequency cap on flights to Tokyo will be removed from summer 2013 when more slots will become available at Narita Airport, potentially enabling low-cost carriers to serve the facility.
