JAL Reveals New Boeing 777-300ER Inflight Products
JAL starting January 2013 is introducing retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER operation, which sees improved seating on all 4-class of service. The new 232-seater Boeing 777-300ER aircraft is to enter operation on Tokyo Narita – London Heathrow route as early as January 2013.

First Class
- Newly-designed JAL First Class Suite
- Personal TV Monitor Size increases from 19″ to 23″
Business Class
- Fully lie-flat seat with aisle access on individual seats
- Personal TV Monitor Size increases from 15.4″ to 23″
- Layout to change from 2-3-2 to 1-2-1
- Reduction in number of seats from 63/77 to 49 seats
Premium Economy Class
- Fixed-Back Seating with seat pitch increases from 38″ to 42″
- Personal TV Monitor Size increases from 9″ to 12.1″
- Reduction in number of seats from 44/46 to 40
Economy Class
- Seat Pitch increases from 31″ to 33″ – 34″ with newly-designed seats. The new seat will be thinner than existing seats
- Arm Rest width increased by 2cm
JAL’s current Boeing 777-300ER configuration is F8C77W46Y115 (246-seater) and F9C63W44Y156 (272-seater). The re-configured 777-300ER will also enter operation on Tokyo Narita – New York JFK, followed by other routes. The airline is also planning to introduce new inflight product on long-haul 767-300ER by mid-2013.
