Horizon Air adds Intra-State route

Horizon Air will launch a new Californian route with a 4x daily scheduled services from Los Angeles (LAX) to San Jose (SJC) to be operated with Q400 aircraft. The route will be inaugurated from August 23rd and will face competition from American Airlines (41x weekly), United Airlines 59x weekly, and Southwest operating larger jets offering significantly more seat capacity in the market with 73x weekly rotations from LAX.

IATA BSP data shows that over 630,000 O+D pax flew the route between Feb 09-10 with Southwest Airlines having an 82% market share.
