German gateway triumphs at airport awards
Hamburg Airport last night went home with the Routes Airport Marketing Award in the European heat of the annual recognition of outstanding airport marketing held in Toulouse.
Collecting the award on behalf of Hamburg was Jorgen Kearsley, general manager of aviation marketing, and the gateway will now automatically go through to the world awards, to be held at World Routes in Vancouver in September.
The evening, hosted by Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and its regional partners, was themed a ‘pink party’, and featured the very best in local wines, delicacies and hospitality with about 700 delegates and guests in attendance. They helped Hamburg celebrate its win by dancing into the early hours of this morning.
