Frontier begins Wichita flights

Frontier Airlines, now fully owned by Republic Airways has started non-stop flying from its Denver base to Wichita, Kansas.

The route commenced April 19th and will be operated on a double daily basis with E-170 aircraft. Frontier faces competition on the sector from Star Alliance member United Airlines which operates 35 weekly flights with regional jets and Airbus 319/320 aircraft.

United is the largest opeator at Denver with a 47% market share, Frontier is the second largest operator with a 19% share of all scheduled flights.
